Question maintenance???

Hi everyone.

I was looking in my owners manual about maintenance. Such as forks. It didn't mention anything or that at least I saw. In the service manual it says to check about 11xxx mi seals, etc.....

well, its at 11xxx mi. Do I get forks serviced? New fluid, springs, seals??? Or just seals? Or don't do anything? Don't fix whats not broken?

Steering bearing. Take everything apart to repack them with grease?

Not having any issues.

Its 03 vt600 with 11xxx mi. Just wondering.

Seals and fork oil are an easy weekend job for the forks. If not leaking, at least flush and replace the fork oil. It's going to be dirty. Going to All Balls bearing set is a great upgrade.

hi. sorry for getting back so late. Kinda need a bit more explanation. i know what i am doing. more info doesn't hurt. Reading service manual its says take forks off, but i read some threads where some people say you don't.

If just replacing the fork oil you can suck it out but better to be able to flip them upside down and flush them to get the crap out of the bottom.
