well thats good to hear, i just cleared out my mailbox. what year rim did you buy? because the 954 & newer 600rr wheels have bigger axles than mine. you may be able to change out the wheel bearings on each end and the center piece from the rim. so check that out as well.

this gets funnier as i progress!!!! well, the axle that fits the newer wheel that i bought on my lunch break, does not fit the swingarm holes. found an old trusty file to shave out the insides. oh yeah, axle shaft is a half inch to short as well, but i think its all coming to gether. now i just have to put everything back together. i do have a lowering kit that came in, but now sure if i should install it as its already low. i did removed the seals of the old wheel to see if they fit. you r right, the wheel bearings do swap, but the part with the sprocket attached do not swap. and thats why i proceeded with the filing.

I like the writeup. Actually it's what made me register. I figured shit like this is worth coming back and exploring.

Just bought a CBR929RR rear and caliper. Just casually hunting around for the rest of the stuff.

yeah, I found alot on ebay, and of course using the search button. my co-worker has an 02' shadow with the same set up, but his is a rigid and make sure you hold on when you accidently hit a hole or bump. the only thing on his is that he bought it like that, so he really couldnt help me out to much.

it looks great and i just now realized that you did this on a VLX rock on man! you did a great job. how about a close up of the right side, i'd like to see how you mounted up your brake and the brake stay.
