Getting about 60mpg at 65mph
Did a bunch of internal work, like resleeved my heads and installed custom pistons and shaved my cam, did a 4* timing mod and regeared so now I'm making 64 HP , before that with just regear, single carb, timing mod, 2 1/2" Hard Krome pipes, was making 54 HP up from 40 stock., even with that i was getting 60 mpg at 65, and with the BB mod was getting 62mpg at 65. But then I've been working on bike engines and carbs for better than 40 years and pulled all sorts of tricks out of my hat to get to where I am.
