very nice... I did that on my VT600CD - moved the kill / push start to my right side cover and headlight to the left side cover... I don't use turns... I just installed an internal throttle as well on 14" black apes... ;)

Very clean and thanks for the extra pics. This will be in the very near future for my bike as well.

I've been keeping an eye on your thread about the internal throttle. I was two clicks away from purchasing the cheaper one that you initially got, and after reading your thread decided to wait.

Not sure what I'll end up with, but it's good to hear you found one that works.

it's set up for dual throttle cables, but the problem I ran into is that our cables have threading that is WAY bigger than harleys. I figured out which hole the "pull" cable would fit into, and took a 3/8" drill bit to it. It threads in there nicely now, but there's a bit too much play for my taste. kinda like the threads aren't really in there, and if it weren't for the cable being hooked onto the throttle sleeve, the cable may just work itself loose over time. I figure it's not too big of a deal for now, though. Don't get much time to ride anymore, anyhow. Most it's been ridden in the past 3 months is about a 10 mile ride through some backroads just to blow the crap outta the carbs.
Did you tab the holes after you drilled them out. I was just wondering if I used the same throttle controls, drilled and tapped them if our cables would fit?

Bike and handlebars are real clean, Nice!!

well, the holes were WAY too small for our cables, so I just started with a bit I new would be too small, and just worked my way up until I found the right hole size. I was going to tap the hole, but there really wasn't enough left of the connection to tap. I tried to thread the connector for the cable into it, and it went up in there nice and snug, so I figured I'll just leave it.

It's definitely not the best answer, and it's kinda ghetto, but I'm planning on internal throttle and clutch at some point in the future, and I know this will hold me til then. PM me if you want pics and I'll try and get them to ya next week sometime

Damn clean man, damn clean. Makes me realize I need to do some work on my bars, at least internal wiring. But damn, that looks good.

I just drilled a hole in my bar and ran my cable through for the throttle. I relocated my wiring to my side covers with toggle switches and a push button for start... Yeah the first one I ordered was a piece of shit and I don't care what anyone says... if you have one like I had and got it working then you are the man!!!

however I purchased a second one http://www.demonscycle.com/Handlebar...-p2892214.html

Now this one took some work to mod it... but it works well!

It is for 1" bars but not 1" grips so it will require some sweat.

I used a hammer to knock the inner part of the outer sleeve out. I used a belt sander to sand the sh!t out of the inner spin piece. I finally got it to fit inside of my 1" grip. Sanded down the shaft rod that holds the rollers to fit in my grip as well. Drilled a hole in my grip and the spin piece - threaded the spin piece and used a set screw to hold my grip to the piece. I had to also bore out the hole for my bars but I have been riding with it and it works fine...
