B.E just made me think of something.. And i just had to fix this same problem on a 2000 1100 c2. The start button.. Yes i said the start button. if u turn on the key on and the head light doesnt come on i know that's what it is.. U have to take it apart and clean the contacts in it.. Just one more thing to check. But if head light comes on and it turns over that's not the problem lol..

If not electricial, like the start button above or even a weak/worn-out battery then go for the fuel delivery, before tearing into the carbs, work your way there starting at the tank, make sure it's flowing out of the pet-cock.........

McV is good, but I'm trying to figure out how you think he might know by that picture if it is wired right?

3 plugs were black one wasn't. Took intake off. Turned it over few times with no plugs. Poured little ful in carbs directly and it started right up. (No fuel tank though). Tank vent seems clear. Petcock is working right. I'm gonna try t gravity feed carbs frm the tank directly, after making sure carbs are clean and not stuck open. I'm thinking fuel pump or relay, I doubt the fuel pump fuse would b blown?

Thoughts?

Its the only relay but the ignition that looks ifits been messed with. I figured he had his mechanics book nearby or had messed with one before based on the orienation of it. Or if he saw anything off with it. But I'm past thta now. Anotherupdate in a minute. But basically gravity fed it runs.

If u have a meter u can check the relay one will be switch one is grnd one to the pump and the other is the hot. If it fired right up its definitely fuel delivery issues. Float stuck closed clogged or bad pum or relay filter or lines. Just my first thoughts

I didn't even think to phot the diagram on the relay. I guess I'm still doin noob shit. Lol. Anyways, I hooked the tank up to the carb gravity feed. Without the intake mounted. It started and ran off graviy just fine. I let it run for 2 ten minute sessions without interuption.

He went ahead and ordered the relay and pump, and few other small odds and ends. He is gonna go ahead and swap it all out. Just cuzth fuel pump thing I hav found seems to be common with the aero 1100. So that should fix that. Ill install th parts next week when they arrive. But I'm gonna test each part as I install one at a time, so whatever isn't bad can be kept as spare part.

Other realizations. This bike is unmolested. Factory airbox, factory jetting, factory exhaust. Its a clean fckn canvas. I'm tryin to work my way into a deal with him, but don't know if its gonna be posible. But i really think it is. He's also got some other work he needs done, so maybe I can work a credit trade. I've got a few other priorities I have t make sure are sorted before I know anything, so no responsibility speeches, priorities come first.

Froggy if that's the fuel pump relay then it should only have 3 wires going to it , a black and yellow, a black, a black and blue......,since that has 4 wires and I see a fuse near it i'm guessing that it isn't a fuel relay but a starter relay
