My First Mod!

i did my first mod today of the SG. first thing i did was to replace the factory speakers with a set of Pioneer TS-A1684R 6.5" up in the dash. you should have seen the shitty speakers i pulled out of there, the magnet on them was about the size of a quarter. i then installed a Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4 amp on top of the factory head unit & ran a set of wires back to the bags which i will install a set of Pioneer TS-A6994R 6x9's. once i get those in the bags this things sound system will sound better then most cars & really rock.

i still had my HID kit that i bought for the X & since most bikes all have the same type bulb, i proceeded to install it in the bike. wasnt to hard to hook up at all, the hardest part of everything that i did today was running the power lines to the battery & the speaker wires to the back, because they all had to go under the tank. you cant just remove the tank on this like you would the X or the SS because this bitch is fuel injected so you cant just pull the fuel line off.

i'll try to get a little video once i'm finished of the system bumping. i'm sure the cops will love it, hopefully i wont get pulled over.....

I thought your first mod was gonna be http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=202198704&storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=202198704&ci_kw={keyword}&kwd={keyword}&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googleads-_-pla-_-202198704&ci_gpa=pla

Seriously, glad you were able to use the HID kit on the SG.

Next you'll be putting a tour pack on so you'll have a place to put a big sub-woofer.

Youtube so we can hear the new system.

Nice! I know what you mean about fuel tank removal with fuel injection. Would it have killed Honda (or Harley) to put in some means of shutting the fuel off above a junction somewhere? Sheesh...

What is the difference? The pressurized lines? You can remove fuel pump fuse and crank engine to release fuel line pressure. Then just disconnect the line(s). You shouldn't lose much.

there is NO fuel shut off. if you pull that fuel line off, its dumping whatever is in the tank on your floor.

i dont need a tour pack for a sub, they make shallow subs now already seen a couple of bikes with them in the bags.

That's not a mod Neal. That is a standard garage accessory. I think it comes with the standard HD accessory chrome shining cloths and buffing pads. Of course if it doesn't have the HD emblem then it voids the warranty.
