Alright, I'm far enough along on my projects to post some pics. I just finished taking off my gauge cluster, grinding off the brackets and installing a new speedometer down on the airbox. I was going to put it back on the triple tree, but once the old gauges were off, I didn't want to put anything back up there!

Other mods include: custom milled engine covers, custom lettering, cobra pipes, Kuryakyn Silver Bullets, lowered shocks (soon to be replaced with 11" Progressives). There's also a blue dot in the taillight, new mirrors (hated the rectangle ones) and a headlight visor. Oh, and for anyone who is interested, Kuryakyn's rear fender strut mounts for Harleys can be modified to fit other bikes.

Next up will be modifications to the seats, foward controls (thanks again M@man) AND, if I can find someone to make it, a longer speedometer cable so I route it up the frame and down the forks (to make it less visible).

Awsome! I like what you've done, removing the guage cluster. What did you do with the wires?

P.S. This pic is for Rheo! :thumb:

Thanks M@Man,
My gauge has LEDs for blinkers, highbeam and oil, so the only things I forwent were the gas light, temp gauge and tach. Although, I'm really missing my fuel light, so I may mount an extra LED on the airbox and hook it up to the gas gauge.

To answer your question, The wires run behind the airbox, through a bendy wire keeper that keeps another cable in place and up under that black plastic cover at the top of the frame. From there, half the wires go into the headlight and half go under the tank where they connect to the wiring harness. They conceal very well, I don't think you can tell it's not factory wiring.

In fact, it's because the wires hide so nice that I want to redo the speedo cable. I think it sticks out under the airbox all ugly like. I just need to find someone who will make a 54" speedo cable with the Honda forked end.
