thanks for the tips.. the pads did have a chamfer built in, maybe i'll just give it some seat time (the easy lazy guy way) and if it doesn't go away i'll pull them out file a proper one into it.

I changed mine for the same reason they started to squeak and thought they were done but when I pulled it apart they still had life in them but I had already bought new shoes So I cleaned everything and put in the new EBC shoes and the squeak went away after a few rides and now they're quiet as a shit house rat.

Mine just started squeaking today. Will get looked at when my new rubbers come in. Are the ebc shoes origional replacements or an upgrade?

They are EBC replacement for original equipment. They OEM that I took off had become glazed and didn't stop very well and squeaked. Very annoying.
