Alllllrighty! Made some progress over the winter/spring.

First, and foremost, I eliminated the gauge clusterfuck. I had to extend a shitload of wires in order to relocate the fuse box into the already jam-packed stock airbox. I did a little cutting on the airbox, so that I could fit everything in without removing it. It really does make for a handy place to store all the bullshit wiring that Honda is so fond of. I'll post pics of the airbox next time I take my seat off.

Next, I replaced the ignition switch with a universal 3-position switch of eGay. A little filing and it fit right into the hole on the upper where the stock switch mounted. Also shown here are my new headlamp and horn. Headlamp is off of some old Harley, it was floating around my buddy's garage and I traded a 12 pack for it. Once I find a good way to mount my front turns, I can finally tape up all the wiring and make it look nice. I also have to figure out what I'm gonna do with those stock studs up there. They seem too conveniently placed to just chop off, I'm thinking I might make a little round bar that attaches across them to mount a mini speedo to...

I also ditched my stock mirrors, and slapped on a pair of $15 eGay bar-ends.

She now looks significantly sexier. That headlamp changes the whole look of the bike.

Next mods in line; mount turns, tidy up the wiring, rebuild some new master cylinders, fab up some sort of riser system, bang out a metal seat pan, paint ammo cans. Not necessarily in that order.

Thanks dude. It looks sooooo much sexier now, haha. I'm happy with it.

By the way, I was wondering if there's any chance in hell that you might be interested in dissecting the lever portion of your forward controls, maybe send me a drawing and/or pics of the parts? Now that I work in a machine shop, there's no fucking way I'm gonna pay $150+ for a forward kit lol. I'm certain that I could reverse engineer the TC Bros kit and post up some technical drawings for a reasonable facsimile here for everyone to use.

Sorry to hear about the riding time

I'm in no rush. The idea popped into my head a few days ago, and I don't really need forwards right now. Just figured it would be sweet to be able to provide the forum with a quality lever mechanism, one that isn't tubing over round bar lol.

Bleh... Life throws some annoying shit at you.

Oh well. At least I have dependable internet. For the moment.

But not a running bike. Laid her down like a noob on a camping trip and I'm having trouble getting it to run properly... but more importantly, I got new pics before I crashed!

Let's see here...

-Cut fender down
-Ditched one ammo can to side mount the plate (LED illuminated)
-Re-shaped stock seat and covered with the same radical blanket
-Made foot pegs and kick stand from an old alignment pry bar
-Added a fused and switched dual-socket cigarette lighter kerjigger to remaining ammo can
-Found a cool old military bag for use as a fork bag
-Snazzy little red bandanna to cover that gay ass bar clamp

Now it has some different bars, and needs a paint job. Probably gonna replace the pipes too. But here it is before the unintended makeover.
