I haven't heard anything but that doesn't mean much....

This last quarter we had a big audit by our parent org's (NAVSEA) Environmental Management team. The base came through it quite well, based on the self-congratulatory emails that went out a few weeks ago!

Still, I heard that if the base were to ever close it would become the largest Superfund site ever. Yet another reason they'll never shut it down.

Everything at Dahlgren, really all federal jobs, are posted at USAJobs.gov . I'd check that out.

Good for you Bubbzz! I heard the other day that the Woodstock Toyota plant is hiring for another line. Probably hard to get in though and all their jobs start as contracts.

That'd be a good deal. Right now they've still got a shift that they haven't got rolling. (were going to start with 2 and started with one?) Unless they're in. Trying to stay out of the manufacturing area. I put in 16 and a half years at the heavy truck plant. Was a great ride while it lasted. Time for a new start.

If anybody has technical experience my company is always hiring. Check out www.woodcons.com If anything appeals to you let me know and I'll submit your resume. There is usually a hiring bonus involved that i'd be willing to split. It's all government contracting work.
