work in progress. So far we cut stock tank and dished. Took us 2 full Saturdays since it was first time we did anything similar. Rear fender is a front fender donor of another bike. I cut down middle and added 3" plate. The support bars are off same donor. Just cut down middle and grinded to make what you see here.
Don't really take any pics while we are doing work. Guess too busy doing work, bullshitting and drinking.

next on agenda is add custom made leather solo seat and pillion, retouch rear fender once that is done, make a custom fake oil tank while keeping swingarm and stock rear suspension, and finally may or may not add white walls.
Nice work dishing that tank! Looks pretty fucking amazing for your first try at it. Any particular resources you looked at to get an idea of how you were going to do it?
I think this web site is where I saw someone from Europe do a similar one. I recall in that thread it was mentioned once cut it wasn't a straight flip weld process due to the way tank is shaped. So we kind of knew once cut we had to figure it out. We cut sides and then made about 2" cuts all along edges of sides that allowed us to bend and shape them. Welded and checked for leaks until it was sealed.
