SabreBob

Hi guys,

I've been doing alot of modding to my Sabre lately, and have come up with what you see at the link below. At this point, my biggest issue is the rear fender. I bobbed it, but I don't like it. It sits way too high off the rear tire, but I don't plan on going to a hardtail with struts or anything like that. Even if I cut my springs or a pair of stockers, It'll likely be too high.

I was thinking about losing the fender and mounting a real low-profile custom job to my swingarm, but it will be a really rough ride for my lady (It'll look sweet, though!). My other idea has been to switch it out with a Spirit 750 fender and fender rails b/c I really like the look and the height ain't so bad. Can anybody furnish me with the specs - length, width, distance between mounting holes, etc? Also, I'm catching a nasty roostertail in the rain and would like to pop a Spirit fender up front too. Can anybody spec one of those out for me? Don't know if either will fit the Sabre.

Lastly, I'm open to any and all ideas and fuck off n00bs, etc. The guys at the Sabrehood are AWESOME. They've helped me out alot, but I need more of a customizer's touch.

Mark, I'm very interested in some more pictures of your license plate holder and how it is attached I have access to the same light you have but have held off because of attachment to my rear end on the shaft drive Phantom of mine.

If you have a URL of a dealer for your application it would help too!

Thanks in advance!

Hey Ronnie, I got it from Licks as a whole kit. If you already have the light, all you will need is the license holder bracket: http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...vgmeppiqu1ujr2
They have all kinds of great stuff, mostly for the Sportster turned bobber crowd. I simply attached it to my left axle bolt.

Very good and fast too! LOL!
I will go and do some browsing on your web site. This is the first plate that I have seen that uses the old Chevy tail light and I'm going to get one.

It is kind of hard to find a reliable plate for a drive shaft model.
Many, many thanks!

Thanks voodoo. I appreciate your input. I was thinking about trying that, but figured that would mess with the fitment of my seat + I'd have to fill in that big ol groove from the stock fender struts. Looks like I have at least 3 good options now. Keep em coming, guys!

And, Voodoo, why you gotta be all ornery and shit all the time?
