I've posted this at least once before.....if you want to replace your front and rear fender you can do it in steel by getting a Tractor Supply trailer fender, that means no subframe, that means you can put it where you want....TSC has dozens and dozens of fenders to choose from starting around 18 bucks and going to as high as 35.......that and a 8 dollar planching set (body tools) from harbor freight and your all set.

I think the bobbed look is hard to pull off without lowering the back. The gap is just too large, even if you put on a fender with drop sides, the gap would be huge from the back. Just a quick thought, I am on my blackberry so I can't do some good searching on this, but.... What if you dropped a chopped fender nice and low, and then put on a (gasp) Harley Rocker seat? Solo most of the time, yet has the bitch pad to add on when needed attached to the seat rather then the fender?I have no idea if it would even come close to fitting, but maybe you know someone who has one to test?

Thanks, TI. I think that Rocker seat is heinous looking, BUT that passenger seat is pretty baddass! I'm still leaning towards dropping a low fender onto the tire and welding to the swingarm, so we're thinking alike here. Besides, we don't ride 2up much at all. We've got a 2 year old and are very busy.

But, I am still up for other ideas, if anybody has any. Still awaiting specs for the Spirit fenders if anyone's up to the task. Definitely want to drop one up front if anyone knows of one on the cheap.
