Sabre Bean box mod

So I went ahead and did the bean box mod to my sabre while im at work. It was running a little rich so I thought maybe I can get away without re jetting but we will find out in the moriing when I get off. I know it gave the exhaust a deeper tone which surprised me. I didn't think about taking pictures or anything until I was done and putting the seat back on.Went ahead and polished my paint with some mcguires. for wet polish that stuff aint bad. Back to the intake.... The PO had Hard Krome pipes put on and a K&N filter put in so im guessing when they re jetted they left it a little rich. from what ive heard hard kromes are the hardest pipes to jet to so I may be back later bitching about performance drops and piece of shit jets and what not. Almost want to just post this in shop talk because the sabre side is DEAD.....

i cut the hole in the lid the exact same size as the inside of the filter... if i remember right i cut the water diverter off the lid too.. it's been over a year since the last one i did so it's a lil fuzzy.. but i do remember the main jets were 210s and i think the pilots were 75 or 78.. i work nights to sucks... lol.. but atleast u get to ride ur bike to work

well as expected its running way too lean. Carbjetkits.com suggested a 195 main and a 45 pilot. Does that sound about right. I don't know if your 210 was a dynojet or not and if the sizes might run a little different. Do you think my local shop would sell jets to me or would they want to do the work themselves. Don't really want to wait for jets to come in the mail.

ok so i ran out to the shop went into my reference book for jetting I've done i try to write that stuff down incase i got to do it again or change one I've done down the road il know what was is there. and the last 1100 i did had these mods 4 timing opened intake box (bean box) k&n filte c springs and i built a set off 2" drag pipes with lollipops... 210 mains and 50 pilots screws set at 2 3/4 and 3... it was on a 99... and i only use carbjets it only takes a day or 2 wen i order something from them..

Okay since I don't have the timing mod I could theoretically get a 195 for mains. That or just go ahead and do the timing mod.
