alternative colour schemes

So the VLX600 goes off to media-blasting and powder coating next week and I'm still a tad undecided on colour scheme.

I'm planning on painting the whole engine black with polished fins - possibly keep the cylinder head and transmission case chrome.

Wheels will be powder-coated in white - hopefully with the standard spokes and a 21" front wheel

For the frame, I'm thinking 3 options:

1/ standard murdered out in black

2/ grey

3/ white

If I go with the grey or white then I'm thinking the tank will need to be either Indian Red, burnt orange or a powder blue. Not sure whether glossed or matt.

Option 1 is the safe option. Options 2 and 3 are a bit more bold. I don't mind bold - I just don't want the bike looking like a toy.

Pics of bikes that I like are:

People's thoughts? Anyone got any pics to share to help me make my mind up?

The white would pop but IMHO be a maintenance nightmare. However, the frame in one of your tank color choices would also be a great option with a white tins.

That gun-metal tank does look really good :) And it would really pop too with the white wheels.

yeah - I did wonder about cleaning the white frame clean. I figure I'd need to hose it down at least once a week to prevent grime and grease build up?

White wheels with the white frame might be too much. I'm not sure if the black tyres would be enough to frame them - bearing in mind that the swingarm and wheel would both be the same colour. That said, black frame on black wheels is never an issue so maybe I'm over-thinking it.

I could do the rim a slightly different colour but that means removing the spokes and relacing ... ugggghhhhhhh

My brain has turned to jelly trying to envisage the end-result and I can't find many pics of white frames with a google search. Anyone got any to share?
