In these areas i used large washers and it fixed the flex problem

Thanks for the pics and the info. I got the tank back today, but it has to cure for 2 days before I can put the bike back together. Here's a couple of pics of what it looks like so far. I still need to do a final sand and buff the hell out of it. Probably get to that Thursday night or Friday.

Anyone else have problems with brake pedel wanting to stick after the mod and not release? Any suggestion on how to tweek it? Guessing its something with the brake tension nut but I cant seem to get it to work correctly.

Need to lube the the bolt where the brake shaft pivots...that and mine break linkage was rubbing against my the brake pedal assembly a little torch or a wrench and it made the opening wide enough

For me it turned out to be some pretty tight bind up between the replacement brake linkage and shift pedal. Took a file to the opening in the new linkage and installed a stronger spring and all seems to be great now.

i have tried a bunch of stuff but still havent seemed to fix this. ordered a new spring and i will mess with the linkages some more, just a pain in the ass!! btw im rocking the 6" extensions. my tall 6'6" ass needs the longest ones possible. that or the new furry with a 250 tire on it!!
