Whats that colored wire for........?

I get PMED a lot about wiring and such, hopes this helps someone out there....Modern Honda motorcycles use a standardized system of wiring the components of the electrical system together. There are international standards for such things, but it has not been possible to confirm if Honda adheres to any such international standards or not. The following table shows many of the wire colors used:

i need to know on the honda vt600c shadow the the coil wire s from harness .the back of the coil has a color code to one wire and harness has one black wire and one yellow does it matter which one goes were>
