Going to look into the LED as well. The headlight on my C2 is the only incandescent bulb left on the bike. Trying to get better lighting and at the same time reduce the draw on my electrical system.

The LED is nice and does reduce the draw, but as mentioned...the HID is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I know I have tried to tell people how well they work but even saying how good it is does not justify the experience. It is pretty much plug and play except that you have to wire a hot and connect a ground. It is really not difficult. If you get the hi/lo (which in my opinion is not needed...its that good on low beam) then if you need to extend any wires, extent the wires to the bulb and put the ballast under the tank and the relay under the seat.

Cheeseman316 had an issue with the relay getting wet and shorting out, I used brush on electrical tape to cover and seal the relay on my VTX. The relay in not a part of the single lite system, only the hi/lo system.

BTW...I was told that they Cyclopes LED light was specifically designed to compete with the HID and is designed to work better in a halogen bucket. No experience with the product, but my business partner is a member of the Adventure Rider ADV forum and they beta tested it there.

Good to know. Thanks for the information. Still not sure which way I'm going to go.
