Pod filters on an 87 VT700

Can't find any examples of the 87 with pod filters, does anyone know if They will fit, and if so what size? That dumbass integrated frame air tunnel doesn't give me much room at all. Also, I put EMGO shortys on and removed the airbox(with screening on the intake elbow to keep out bugs/debris) and jetted to 45/135. Now I am getting gas in the oil and can't get over 70mph, or get any hard acceleration. bike just stumbles and starts popping/surging. My a/f screws are at 2-3/4 turns. Should I jet back down or is there something else going on? Tried using the search tool for a couple days with no luck on here, hondashadow.net or bing/google.

Good luck with that, I'm in the process of doing a full chop on an '88 vt800 for that same reason. That frame is bullshit.

I was trying to avoid cuttin it up. I'm just gonna slowly work on her and see what direction i go. I'm blacking out all the chrome now and cuttin the exhaust down. May chop the fenders if i find a good cheap pair on ebay.

Anyone know if a rake kit for thw vt600 will work on my front end?
