I think the bike runs a bit rich on idle and maybe a bit lean on half to full throttle but the rain, wind and snow didn't change the feel of it at all. I was a bit worried because my 750 got some hesitation when there is sidewinds with just a open back filterbox so I figured the stacks would be even more sensitive to weather, but she runs just fine no matter what. The guys behind me told me there was some white smoke at times. I figure that was when water got in there. I'll try raising the needle and lowering the fuel mix screws and see if she runs even better.

The boat in the picture is owned by my friend who's cabin we went to. But there actually was one guy who took his sailing boat there. 3 day trip on the water in the same weather. I'll see if I can find a decent picture of it.

So I finally went down on a bike. Didn't get hurt though. Was going to a local vintage car/bike/moped meetup 15 minutes from home was turning left at a read light and didn't see the gravel all over the intersection and down I went as I layed the bike down to turn. My buddy behind me said I had the bike on top of me sliding on the ground for a few meters and the bike seems to confirm it. No damages except for a bent licenceplate and some scratches on the left footpeg. Tore up the left arm on my hoodie but luckily had on a protective shirt underneath that saved my skin.

And the meetup sucked. Maybe 10 not so cool cars and a few old mopeds that all went home after half an hour.

Glad you came away in fairly good condition and the bike as well.

Just curious how tall you are. You make that bike look small compared to the 750 spirit in your other sig image. Is there really that big of a size difference between the two bikes?
Just wondering since I'm 6'3" and am looking for a better fit than my vlx. It's comfortable for me, but I feel like my frame is too tall for the bike.

Sorry. I've been away from the forums for a while and didn't see your question. I'm also about 6'3" and a bit too heavy for my own good but in that picture I also had on a lot of clothes as the weather was snowy and cold as fuck. When the other picture was taken I was not quite as heavy as I am now, plus it has 6" forward controls, seat further back and apes witch make it look a lot bigger than the tightly built VLX.

Compare the size of the rims in the photos though. They are the same: 19" front 15" back.

Dude! Love the bike, going to be working on my own hardtail soon, but the electrical stuff is scaring me away.

Can I ask what clip-ons you're using? I'm dying for a set just like that.

My pictures seems to have dissapered. I'll take a look at that and try to fix it.

Bike's still going strong. Will be fixing some stuff up this summer adn update the thread.

The clip-ons are just a set from China I got for cheap on eBay. Works great.
