Sorry. The hammer feature is only suppose to be used for carbide masonary bits.

When you do it, don't put pressure on the holesaw. That will only dull it faster and it actually cuts slower. You'll feel a "sweet spot" as far as the pressure goes, that's where you'll be cutting the best. A little cutting oil won't hurt either.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned "the blow torch" yet.

Make sure you rush through it Rheo, and if the drill brakes your arm, post a pic of you in the cast.

Really, take your time, use lube, and don't push too hard. (We are talking about the holesaw mod, right?) Maybe this should be in Susan's Sidecar...

Push too hard, bind the saw, drill spins violently, wrist twists and possibly breaks, possible fucked up exhaust, possible fucked up rear wheel.

Some holesaws are hairy things. I've used up to 8" saws and they can tear your arm off if they get hung up. The best thing to always remember when using one is to let the tool do the work, you are only there to guide it.

And if that doesn't work, get a blowtorch!!!

Don't be such a baby, electric drills love the rain, just like bathtubs and toasters!

When I use to do environmental construction years ago. We would cut gasoline piping with a sawzall. That made for some tense moments. Oh, and there was the time I set a empty 40k underground diesel tank on fire from the sparks coming off the saw while cutting it open. That was fun
