my 02 ace

So i have been here not long, searching in the back round and looking around. Figured id share what i have done and what i plan on doing in the future..

First thing is first. Bought the ace of Craigslist, stole it basically.. the hillbilly i got it from put a pair of apes on, oh boy did he hack that. Used dollar store butt connectors and electric tape. So going into it i knew i had to fix some wiring. Knew i would ditch the apes for something more realistic for myself. After talking to my buddy, i decided well if I'm going I'm going hard. Lets chop this sob and get rid of what i can. So internally wired bars check, front fender gone. HERES the fun part the guy this guy bought the bike from plastic dipped the whole damn bike. It was bad! So goo gone was my best friend. While doing that i realized this guy was a "mechanic"... but the bike does run good so I'm going to stick to my plan and go balls to the wall. I will post the good the bad and the ugly soon to share some fun stuff once I figure out how to do that.

so here is some of the fun stuff i found that the previous previous owner did.. im going to name a couple things besides the plasti dip...
1.tighten the risers to much and welded the threads back on (picture included)
2.welded brake line tubes to the inside of the rear fender to run his LED (house speaker) wire through inside of using the stock wire clamps.. (no picture)
3.lost a lot of bolts and screws, and replaced them with well whatever he had laying around.
4.installed alum. grips, but used a sheet metal screw to hold them in place. yes screwed right through the grip to the bars.....
5.THE BEST.. cut the stock exhaust, welded on turn out tips that were 4x to big, wrapped the entire exhaust 3 times over and used, chicken wire, hose clamps, and cut up coat hangers to tie the wrap down... (pic with no wrap just bare exhaust)
6. im sure there is more but at this point i can't think of anything else.

[IMG][/IMG]
and installed a LED turn/brake light with smoked lens
