1995 Shadow 1100

Have a chance on a good deal on a 95 Shadow 1100 . It's super clean 17,000 miles but seams to have a carb problem . Owner says he ran out of gas and hasn't run right since . It will start and run but cuts out bad in the midrange . Sounds like a jet clogged up to me . Am I on the right track ?

You sound like you're on the right track. Never let a fuel tank run close to empty. You start picking up the crap at the bottom of the tank

Problem

Only thing wrong was a very dirty air filter put a new one in and it runs great . Not a bad deal for $1000 !
