Quick update...

Got the holes of the frame filled in and cleaned up really nicely

Bent some sheet metal to create an under seat pan to close up that area between the frame... I dig the way it turned out, the front tab slides in under the seat bracket mount in the front, and the back is fastened with two button head allen screws to the rear cross tube.

Cut and modified the stock exhaust bracket, bent some 3/8" round bar and welded it to a piece of flat bar that joined the pipes together. Turned out great!
This was a dire need of mine to be done, I've had the pipes mostly unsupported for the last few years and after long rides at high speed the rear pipe gets overheated and rips from the vibration. Happened twice so now was the time to get it fixed!

Shortened the front fender a bit

Frame Primed

Frame Painted

Picked up one of TJBC finned carb slide covers and allen bolt carb kits, worth the money for these single carb bikes just for the looks!

Finished for now!

Well I've finally got the bike done for a while, never really finished... am I right??
Finished it up just over a month ago before a local bike rally, the gentlemen's ride, and made it down to Barber Vintage Fest!

Enjoy the photos!

Under seat pan back from the powder coater and installed

Finally got all the pieces back from paint! Went with a really nice metallic gray that my painter hadn't sprayed on anyones bike before, with black shadowed scallops outlined in a color matched orange pinstripping to match the wheels and hand painted designs on the front and rear fenders, and gas tank. All finished off with a satin clear coat!

Sittin' Pretty!
