it was pretty much immediately, there are several other types of products that you can use also when it comes to sealing a rim this way.

from looking at other rims that are tubed there is no lip to keep the bead so air leaks out. so unless ones going to seal the whole both sides of the tire it wont work.

bullshit!!!!! when you order HD wheels from KC international they come sealed already. plus the fact that there are several guys over on the VTX Cafe & VTXOA that sealed them the exact same way that i did alone with a few other ways & theirs all sealed. what happened was some of the sealant got knocked off of the spokes when we slid the tire down onto the rim. cause the wheel to leak in those few spots. do some research next time before you start talking.

I was curious why you dont run an innertube? Did you scuff the chrome, also a two part epoxy would work a lil better. I had a problem with my chrome thermostat housing leaking on my olds, sanded the chrome off the bottom and it finally sealed.

no problem with the chrome, just wanted to do something different is all. JB Weld would work awesome for this but if you ever needed to change the spokes you can forget that idea.

Do you think you'll have issues with hot and cold temp fluctuations? Sure would suck to come outside and find a flat on a cold morning far from home.

Way to dig up an old one. But id have to think it would be to much dfferent than a car tire where's that's concerned. Better have your wheel trued before your try it though.

I tried it with one of my builds and the front wheel sealed good, but the back wheel I had 3 or 4 spokes that continued to leak...and that was on top of having them powder coated and I told the powder coater to lay it on thick.

JB Weld is not a bad idea at all. I would think if you needed to replace a spoke you could probably drill it out.
