It rides really smooth. I'm going to swap out with the other spring section to see how big the difference is. I think it rides better than my old coil and hairpin solo springs and I'm 165# so it should ride even better with the bigger guys. I'd definitely spend time on the collar since the seat is basically a simple machine exerting large amounts of pressure to pry that screw out of the frame. I'm digging it so far. I still have some cleanup work to do but it's great to ride.

Making some adjustments.

EDIT: So I put a longer spring on and have it a bit of standoff from the frame where I mounted it (at the gas tank bolt). This gave it much more spring but also made it a more efficient lever. I countered this by drilling and tapping two holes forward of the bolt and bolting a piece of flat stock down to it. This will hold the nose down while the tank bolt will make sure it doesn't slide out. It's much more comfortable and still über cheap to do. And it looks like the seat is floating, which I think is pretty cool.
