Anyone tried Mid-Pegs?

Anyone added a set of 'mid-pegs' to give another foot position for longer rides? Thought about going with a 'highway' or 'crash bar', but not crazy about the look, except for the Lindby, which is EXPENSIVE, and that would put my feet up even higher or even with my waist, and don't think that would help me much, since I already have poor circulation in my feet. Was thinking about getting something like offset mounts (like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131747982053...84.m1436.l2649), attached to the frame, and having the right side come out between the pipes, and the left side just match for height, with pegs that could be flipped up out of the way when you don't want to use them. Anyone tried something like this? Would appreciate any help or advice you could give (other than F-Off!).
