Last week i started to lower my shadow, first problem: how can i compress the spring to disassemble the rear mono-shock?
normal car spring compressors don't work beacuse the spring is too small, so i decided to build something specific by myself.
The project is self-explanatory, i took 2 pieces of metal 3mm thick, made a hole with the leathe (78mm ) and drill another 4 holes the same size of the threaded bar that will receive the threaded bars.
as you'll already understand the spring is placed between the plates and tighten the bolt will compress the spring.
i think if you don't have a leathe you can drill a ton of holes along the circle and then smoothen it with a file, probably will work but it'll take time.
replace the threaded bars with bigger ones so its quicker to thighten
weld the nut to one side of the bar and the other to one plate, so i can use just one wrench
