if it sounds anything like the sound i got..... dont waste your time. too small of pipe and it sounded like shit, way too high pitch, just altogether the sound i got was not even woth the time it took to unbolt the mufflers.

what did you use to cut the mufflers from the header pipes? Sawzall? Or what?

you can use a regular hacksaw - preferrably with a new blade !

This probly a dead thread, but did anyone post some sound of this mod? I'd love to do it, but if it sounds like shit i'll keep my hole saw mod. any rejet with it?

I love the way it sounds. Its CRAZY loud though. My freinds tell me they like it because they can hear me comin up behnd them. It took me a couple of hours but only cost me 40 bucks and to borrow a freinds welder. Hardest part was getting the slip ons to line up with the heat-sheild and get it lookin as close to one pipe as i could. I love em though, they'll do the job just fine til i get a set of full pipes custom made.

If you wanna just cut the off between the muffler and heatsheild theres no welding I rode around like that for a while before cutting the heatsheild off and welding new tips on. If you already have the whole saw you probably had to re jet for that with the straights you might just have to mess with your mixture if not then yes. I found my bike ran a little better with some home made thumb baffles too without losing any of the great sound from this mod.
